7/2/2023 0 Comments Corel aftershot pro![]() I still have open issues from some Pentax Cameras and they never have supported any of my Samsung NX cameras. When it was sold to Corel and became Aftershot Pro, there was a brief flurry of development to proved RAW processing for cameras of the day and then almost nothing. However when they started development of the last incarnation of Bibble before it was sold to Corel, they lost focus on the fact that they need to keep pace with new models of all cameras and not just Canon and Nikon ones. I started using Bibble Pro in around 2008 with my first Pentax DSLR (a K100D), and for a while I really liked Bibble. but last Christmas, taking advantage of an offer of 50% discount, I bought DXO Optic Pro 10 Elite, with DxO ViewPoint plugin, and I found that this software offers a real big breakthrough foe raw processing compared to the other alternatives mentioned.Ĭorel Aftershot Pro was originally a product from an independent software developer called Bibble. I have Corel AfterShot Pro 2 and I think it is a great software for jpeg processing, but very poor for developing raw files of my Pana FZ1k: for this purpose is far better SilkyPix, that has the advantage of easily provide a better result (more detail, some light and color improvements) than the jpg out of camera, and has built in all geometry corrections of my camera, but. Hope it's okay to post link:Ībout last Christmas, we decided to move up to a better digital camera and now are the happy owners of a Panasonic Lumix GMC-G5. Not a boxed version, but do I care? Anybody know if it is the same thing? Please advise, if you do know. So glad I didn't buy it almost 3 weeks ago! Looks like the full version with "Card and Activation Code". The other programs are Raw Therapee 4.2 and SilkyPix Developer 4.3.ī&H Photo has what looks to be the full version of Corel AfterShot Pro 2 for just $19.99 and that seems like a great deal, considering it's $79.99 regular price. I'm finding it easier to use than two other programs I'm checking out at the same time. ![]() I decided to give Corel AfterShot Pro 2 (trial version) a spin and really like it. Since I plan to shoot in RAW format, I wanted to find software that would let me open the RAW files and manipulate them. Happy though, to be putting the old lens back in use. It will be set up on a tripod, so we'll figure out how to shoot with it, knowing we cannot use all the automatic features of the camera with the old lens. We planned to use the old Minolta 50mm MD lens on it for 2D photography, fine art originals photographed for reproductions/Art Prints. We just went for a good deal on a camera that looked to be in decent shape, figured we could deal with the Software later, if we needed it. Got a camera that was used, but like new condition. We kept the Minolta X700 with the 50mm lens.Ībout last Christmas, we decided to move up to a better digital camera and now are the happy owners of a Panasonic Lumix GMC-G5. Moved up to digital cameras about 15 years ago, I think. We've owned a couple of Canon AE1's and a Minolta X700.
